Oleg Davtyan

Oleg Davtyan (born in 1939) graduated from St.Petersburg University (Philological Department). Since 2000 he is Member of Russian Union of Artists.

He was never trained as an artist and has learned to paint quite of his own accord. His first canvas was painted 10 years ago. His quick and smart mastery of the art has never denied his spantanity both in the perception and reflection of the world, and this makes his artworks so fascinating. Oleg's favourite subject is the sea, though his landscapes of wild nature are no less interesting.
He is a romantic by nature and so are his landscapes. One may assume that it was Aivazovsky who gave a push to Oleg even in his childhood. Oleg's artworks are extremely expressive, what he aims to is colourful painting that strikes an eye. The latter artworks are filled with anxiety and longing though the scene seems to be quiet.
